Medical Movies Or How To Ding Your PowerBook

My trip to New York started off on the wrong foot. I fell asleep with my PowerBook in my lap and when I woke up in the middle of the night I knocked it onto the floor giving it a good ding. Needless to say I was not happy. After a long night and frustrated from denting my computer, I ended up going to the wrong airport. Talk about embarrassment.

Don’t ask me how it happened, but in my mind I was thinking LAX so that’s where I went. It turned out to not be a big deal the agent typed in some magic numbers and I was off to New York. I swear it was the April 1st goblins messing with me.

Once I arrived in New York I found a brand new 2GB SanDisk micro cruzer on the ground as I was leaving the terminal. I popped it into my computer hoping to find some info on the owner (and because of plain old curiosity), but I was surprised to find some strange movies. I think they are medical or something, if cadavers bother you don’t watch. I copied the files and then dropped off the disk at the information desk. I wanted to keep it, but I figured some frustrated businessman was frantically searching for it.

I rode the subway from JFK and made my way to my friends apartment. Turns out he lives smack dab in the middle of SOHO, a few blocks from the Apple Store and all that is cool in New York. While I was out yesterday, I found myself right in the middle of a Law and Order shoot.

I’m heading out right now to go shoot some more pictures and find a copy of Bulletproof Web Design so I can do a write up for chapter 4. Check out the weird and somewhat disturbing videos and stay tuned for some more news from New York.
