I recently installed Wordpress on my mac using MAMP to set up my computer as a local server.
The only remaining problem is that I don't understand at all the background of PHP/my SQL!!!
Where are data? I am familiar with databases like Filemaker Pro, where the table and the data are embedded in a well-defined file (".fp7" in case of FMPro). But how does it work with PHP/mySQL? Where should I start with?

hello! I have been trying to figure out how MAMP and JSP's work, but cant so I resided using my wintel box for a school project... :( (sad to say...). Then I saw your site and thought that with PHP, you would know something with JSP. Anyways, can you give me a sample JSP page that alters the database? cause I cant seem to work it out. With your sample alter JSP file and Java class, I could follow a portion of it. thanks a lot! I really want to use my iBook for my school projects :D
